dulwich college, Se21

Dulwich College was founded in 1619 and currently educates approximately 1500 pupils. The majority of pupils travel to the school each day however there is a minority of approximately 130 students who are unable to do so and board at the premises. These students are housed in a series of private boarding houses owned by Dulwich College. This project relates to two of these houses, The Orchard and Old Blew House a Grade II Listed Building.
The Orchard proposal provides an additional common area for the pupils by linking the two Listed Buildings. A space were pupils can come together and interact, creating a dynamic atmosphere contributing to the day-to-day life of the school.
The new link building also provide a new lobby and waiting area, improved reception, offices, toilets and plant room with an IT hub.
