This is a small new extension to an existing single family house replacing the current extension which was out of date. The owners of the home wanted to create an extended music room to be used by the family. 
We created a stronger relationship between the music room and garden, maximising the height of the glass doors of the garden elevation. The copper roof is set at a modest pitch to avoid the heavy character usually associated with a flat roof being thicker and less in keeping with the local vernacular.  The copper adds an element of quality and traditional craft to the building. The copper was installed in its natural brown colour allowing a patina to form over time.
